Hi, I'm Mia!

Kinda Neat

A podcast about music…kinda

Kinda Neat is a unique content portal for musicians on the verge created by Lee Shaner. It was created to showcase independent musicians and provide them with an additional promotional platform.

KN started out as just a YouTube channel, but I jumped in and designed a website, added show notes, and optimized every single post. Search optimization strategies have aided in organic subscriber growth from 60k to 245k within 18 months. No ads, no gimmicks.

Helped the host pitch a similar format to a major headphone company, where he now hosts his second podcast.

This was so much fun to work on before America actually became a diaper fire.

Role: Developer

iVotify was a mobile-first web app that simplified politics without bias. The goal was to offer clear, concise, and easily digestible summaries of the issues and the candidates’ positions on those issues. Our aim was to help our users better understand their own positions on the issues and which candidate thinks most like them through a series of questions, using data visualization to make the experience fun and interactive.

Result: Donald Trump is President.

Oh my gosh, is that you?
You look amazing!
— Nicole Scherzinger, mistaking me as her in a shoot I was editing.

Mia, you’ve been the backbone of the project. You’ve worn every hat and done an amazing job keeping the project and everyone working on it on track. Your organization and attention to detail have been a tremendous help for all of us and your ability to control client has commanded respect from many. Thank you.
